"A coherent framework which allows for pragmatic incremental growth"
This study was to inform future changes and identify how approximately 20,000 new homes and 400,000m2 of business, retail and industry would fit within the re-emerging Lower Lea Valley. The underlying principle is for the public realm to act as a catalyst for regeneration. Value and unity is brought about by building upon links to the River Lea and amplifying its frontage. Through incremental development, quality pockets are developed which cross-fertilise new and old, and create an holistic whole over time.
