"A piece of the city"

This proposal offered an opportunity to counter the scale and often barren nature of the waterfronts associated with many Docklands developments. A frame juxtaposed with Pontoon Dock on a city scale acts as a reference point of mixed uses for up to 30,000 inhabitants and at a micro level creates sheltered places of animation. The project builds upon the axis of Thames Barrier Park, which helps to structure this piece of the city.
