"Architecture of economy"
We have designed many workplaces and studios for commercial and domestic use. This selection, including some of our earliest work, optimises difficult sites, some consents being won with complex planning and rights of light arguments. Common underlying themes are the innovative use of space, natural daylight and ventilation and the robust choice of materials. Each place balances the need for shared use as well as the need to give comfortable space for the individual. Fundamental to the realisation of each of these projects is their viability which has been achieved through innovative procurement, construction and an architecture of economy.
