"Remodelling of an 18th Century water mill"
The re-use of existing buildings is a continuing theme in our work. The design challenge for the adaption of this listed water mill on the River Test was to upgrade the insulation, heat and service the buildings. An oak structure stabilised the existing barn and props the roof creating depth to insulate and realign the building. An Andy Goldsworthy installation completes the composition. A refurbishment of the existing house completed the work and was carried out with a close client relationship over a number of years.
