"Inhabiting place"
A redundant slipway formed a seafront focus to Patel Taylor’s Citadel masterplan. Our landscape strategy was to build upon the existing and encourage use through the making of special places that promote inhabitation. Two canopies frame the edges of the dock, a bridge reconnects the heart of the masterplan to the sea and a third canopy frames a view to Arran. Materials are bold and robust relating to context and climate.
