A rehearsal hall, practice rooms and study bedrooms form three edges of a new court making a sympathetic addition to a Victorian house and its gardens.
A glazed cloister runs around the ground floor of the court, giving access to the practice rooms and rehearsal hall foyer. A strip window on the first floor marks a corridor which leads to the gallery. The complex form of the rehearsal space enhances its acoustics, allows hidden windows to give intriguing patterns of daylight and gives the new building its own identity within the setting.
